Brandon Ahmad Teaching MB300T02 for Finance and Operations.
I will be editing this slide but I am teaching Day 2 of MB300T02 Core Configuraiton in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, and I am really enjoying the teach. I’ll be updating this post throughout the day as we finish a very fun teach.
Module 3: Organization hierarchies, Policies, Legal Entities, and some setup: really strong module showing the interface and the beginning of what you need for a company to run. We had some very fascinating discussions also, especially around policies. Is it enough to start using a little less workflows and more policies.. I didn’t think so but we’ll see as the students get more work in the labs.
Module 4: We began going into the security tools and it really got interesting. It was certainly helpful to see some of the new reports. I personally like the newer version of what was once called the security development tool and think that auditing has really came a long way with some of the Segregation of Duties.
Module 5: You would be surprised with all the things you can do with personalizations, forms, and record templates in D365. I think the biggest points were showing just how much work has gone into the
Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (now Supply Chain) interface.
Module 6: And it’s our final module.. This one was all about the integrations and configuring them. We work with network printing, some Power BI settings, some email templates, and definitely some Microsoft Office integration. I added my own little spin on ODATA and Excel.
And that’s a wrap.. I wish that the class members had been in Dallas, TX with me so I could have taken them out for BBQ.. But oh well, they did great and it was a very good course. Next week, is day 3 and I’m looking forward to it! Thank you Class for such a wonderful experience and for giving me the pleasure of being your instructor of Course MB–300T02-A: Core configuration in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations!!! Next week, we start the development training and I’m ready and hyped up for that one.
